How do I get through this day?

Mother's Day is a difficult one for some of us. Society says we should celebrate this day, but it is a day of a painful reminder of lack for others. Lack of love, lack of closure, lack of a mother's embrace. Many of us go through seasons of lack. How do we find freedom from a season of lack? Is there a tool to break the tethers on our shame-linked fences that our freedom from lack hinges on? What does the Bible say about lack?

Psalm 34:10 (ESV)

The young lions suffer want and hunger, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

Romans 6:4 (ESV)

We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

Psalm 42:11

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.

Matthew 11:28

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Romans 5:3-4

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance character; and character, hope.
